Public help for Hamilton County residents

The Ohio Department of Aging designates an area agency on aging for each part of the state. Hamilton County is in the area served by the Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio, which also covers Butler, Clermont, Clinton and Warren counties. Area agencies on aging coordinate local services and supports for older adults and offer benefits information.

    The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period runs from January 1 through March 31. During this window, people already enrolled in Medicare Advantage can make one change: to a different Medicare Advantage plan, or back to Original Medicare, with or without a Part D plan. The change takes effect the first of the month after the plan gets the request.
